Where did all the CAF Staff go?

If you have been to our offices recently, you might have noticed A LOT of boxes and empty desks. CAF Staff are in phase 1 of the move to the new CAC. Staff who were are on the 4th floor will be at our new location starting Monday, April 2. What does this mean for you? Tours and programs will run as usual but there are few things to keep in mind during this transition.

-Not all of us are gone! Erin will be here for her usual work week (Tuesday-Saturday). Caroline will be here on most days but contact her ahead of time if you need to speak with her. There will be other CAF staff on the 1st but staff coverage will be similar to our weekend coverage. Group Sales will NOT be on the 1st floor.

-The office door will be locked. There are plenty of extra keys now so please use a key!!!

-The docent and volunteer library will still be available for use (including computers and printing services).

-Limited meeting room use. We no longer meetings rooms on the 4th floor. We still have access to Morse Studio, Lecture Hall, and Design Studio but there is very limited availability. If you have small group, consider using the docent and volunteer library. If you have meetings already scheduled in Morse, Lecture Hall, or Design Studio, they will take place as scheduled.

-Ticket Services staff will take over many of the responsibilities that Group Sales (Wade, Blake, Rossana) provided. For private tours, docents should sign-in and alert Ticket Services staff member in the box office that they are here and let them know their desired meet-up location in the atrium once the group arrives. If GTS is required, they should sign-in, alert the Ticket Services staff, and Ticket Services will have set aside necessary equipment in the back office for the docent to retrieve and wait with in the atrium (basket will be on the file drawers). Once the group leader checks in with box office, Ticket Services will direct them to their docent.

-For all bus tours departing from CAF, Ticket Services staff will ensure the bus has arrived and alert the docent 15 minutes prior to departure. If the bus is not there, Ticket Services staff will contact dispatch and confirm arrival time, alerting docent once known.
