We’re an active group, us CAC Docents & Volunteers. There’s always something going on. We try to capture that in the Announcements section on The Bridge. Its here where you’ll find out what’s going on at the CAC from recent announcements to notices of upcoming programs and events. And, sometimes, we have a lot of these. So, in any given week, there may be 8 to 10 announcements that are still current and relevant to our Docent and Volunteer community.
The dilemma is on the current Bridge platform, we only have so much space to display these current announcements. So, to make sure everyone has the opportunity to see the latest news, the headlines in the Announcements section of The Bridge scroll. In fact, every 4 to 5 seconds a new story scrolls onto the screen and another scrolls off. This is good, but sometimes it takes more than 4 – 5 seconds to focus on a headline and decide if you want to read it. It can also make it a little tricky to keep track of what you did or didn’t read.
But, you can stop this scrolling! Simply hover your cursor over the up/down arrows at the bottom of the announcement section and the headlines will remain stationary until you move your cursor again. Try it!
