The Communications Committee has just a few slots open for docent and volunteer noontime presentations in 2023. If you’ve been wanting to share a topic of architectural interest with a wide audience, now’s your chance.
.
For the past year or so, on the fourth Wednesday of each month, docents presented a broad range of programming to our CAC audience. “River Cruise – Deep Dives,” Art Deco spectaculars, Chicago libraries, churches, stained glass windows, Red Line designs, Dwight Perkins and schools and more – these Zoom meetings drew audiences of well over 100 viewers each month. We reached people from around the city and throughout the country who love to hear about architectural successes, failures, history, interesting characters and all points in between. The presentations have been fascinating, broad ranging, and related to CAC’s mission of engaging our audience to learn why design matters.
Share your interest with the rest of us. Is it something you’ve researched? Or, do you want to share a tour you give – or would like to give? What can you talk about?
