If you are interested in art glass designed by Tiffany, talking about prominent Chicagoans or just hanging out with a few of your docent friends in a cemetery, this enrichment tour is for you! Located inside Rosehill Cemetery is the largest public mausoleum in the city and one of the largest in the country. But this one is particularly special because of its opulence, its variety of impressive stained glass windows and the prominence of its many residents. Join docents Jeff Mercer and Mary Jo Hoag on this interesting and just a little spooky tour of the Rosehill Mausoleum on October 6th at 11 a.m.
The mausoleum is located just off Western Ave., south of Peterson, on the far western side of the Cemetery. Parking can be found near the entrance to the mausoleum on the south side of the mausoleum.
Please do not enter through the main gate on Ravenswood. The Mausoleum is located on the far western side of the cemetery, away from Ravenswood, with the entrance off Western, south of Peterson.
