The Rookery building has implemented a change for outside group tours coming in. The building is still excited for groups to see the lobby but are asking to use the Adams entrance during WEEKDAY tours for entering and exiting the Rookery. They are aiming to limit large group traffic near the front passenger elevators for tenants as they’ve received some feedback on this. It is fine to use the main entrance on the weekends.
Groups are still welcome to look at the elevators, but please ask them to view them in small groups so as to not block tenants from exiting the elevators.
The Rookery is a very busy building – it is essentially 100% occupied, it has a tourist headquarters in the lobby (FLW Foundation), and is included in basically every guide book of Chicago in print. Additionally we have multiple tours that visit the building, some on a daily basis. Please respect this request. The Rookery has been very accommodating to us for many years and we want to return the favor.
