There were a lot of questions that we were not able to get to. Below is the list of unanswered questions and our responses. If you don’t see your question or have more, contact Caroline.
What is the limit on people in the two galleries? will docents encourage participants to come back and go through the exhibits? Please DO encourage guests to visit, we will be operating at 25% capacity but do not expect that to be met often. Remember our hours will now be 10a – 4p Thursday through Monday (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). We hope to expand those hours as demand dictates. You can always get the most current info on our website.
Will tour directors communicate about alternatives due to closed interiors? Or will it be somewhere on bridge? Please reach out to you tour directors for tips and changes to your tour.
How do we know if a neighborhood tour will happen? Read the Neighborhood Tours and Will Call List Update.
Please repeat how Docents use the mask and Shield while giving a tour – while shield is worn, mask does not have to be worn if docent isn’t 6 ft from tour takers? The easy rule: When inside masks are required no matter whether you wear a shield or not. When outside if you are maintaining a 6 foot distance you may remove the mask and consider the shield adequate protection.
Will the Insider Tours resume for Exhibit Hosts? At this time, we will not be doing the insider tours, but will resume when we understand visitation and we can ensure the safety of all involved.
What is the status of the education center/interactive studio and its programming? Currently the main use of the education center is as a host space for virtual education content. This summer our summer camps are virtual. You might also like to check out this series from Angela Esposito.
Tours like Treasure that have inside portions are we looking at revising them so we can start giving them? We will need to work with Tour Directors on this and whether we need more tours will be based on demand.
Will there be opportunities for more docents to give virtual tours? We will be assessing the successes of the docent presentations and virtual tours after the latest round. We know these offerings are popular with our members and we will determine in the fall how these offerings fit into all that the CAC does.
