Devotion. It’s pretty clear that CAC is an institution run by devotion. The 90+ degree heat could not hold back our intrepid river docents from giving the first tours of the season over this past holiday weekend. Lynn Osmond graced the first tour with encouraging words to passengers, and the smiles of Holly and Bob Agra were a welcome sight. And what is the Chicago River without its “Ladies” – truly the most lovely water crafts on the river. To all of us at CAC, it is much more than a business. We are stewards or visual treasures and a city history that never ceases to fascinate. Although the crowds are smaller, they are no less appreciative. Devotion to our beautiful city is the fuel that keeps us moving forward.
