OHC is just around the corner!
To kick off 10 days of endless discoveries during Open House Chicago 2020, join fellow OHC devotees and special guests on October 16 to compete in teams on trivia questions about Chicago places and spaces. We ask the questions. You show us what you know.
Our first ever virtual Trivia Night is taking place on Friday, October 16 at 7:00 PM
Too easy? We’ve got more about Open House Chicago, local landmarks, Chicago history and more at this interactive virtual event. All of the trivia questions were created by a team of CAC docents.
Teams of 6-8 will be randomly created and captained by local personalities from the Chicago architecture community, like WTTW host and CAC Docent, Geoffrey Baer; photographer, writer and lecturer Lee Bey; architectural historian Elizabeth Blasius; WBEZ’s Steve Edwards, to name a few of our awesome Team Captains. Meet new friends, share memories of past OHC events, show off your Chicago knowledge, and win prizes!
Special perk to CAC volunteers and docents: You can choose your own Trivia team! Register individually for the event on the OHC website and send the names of your team of 6 players to Hallie at hr****@ar**********.org. Teams must be formed by Monday, October 12.
FAQs about the OHC App:
When is the app available (in all its functioning glory): Oct. 14-25. After the 25th, the app will no longer function. Members have early access on October 13 (that means you!)
What is the best way to use the app? Use the app to plan ahead or while you are out on the streets. The app uses location services so it will tell you the sites and trails nearest to you. Not comfortable going outside? There are audio tours you can listen to in the comfort of your own home!
Does it work on any phone? The app will work with any smartphone, iPhone and android versions available.
