New extended ticket sales/will-call policy

Starting June 1st, we get to leave one more vestige of Covid behind us. We will no longer have to end ticket sales early for tours that use the will-call system:

  • Tickets will remain on sale until the tour begins.
  • The will-call list will be posted at 5am on the day of the tour but this list is advisory only.  Tickets sales will continue.
  • All docents assigned to the tour must show up, regardless of will-call numbers.

Be advised that everyone, including members, still needs a ticket.

  • If tour is sold out and full, walk-ups cannot be accommodated.
  • Once the tour has started, walk-ups cannot be accommodated.
  • Tickets must be purchased through the website or box office. Docents may not accept payment.
  • If the tour is sold out, but there are obviously still spaces due to no-shows, docents should use their judgment.  While we don’t want to alienate guests, especially members, we also don’t want to encourage the habit of dropping in and expecting a free tour. Recent changes in membership policy and notifications should reduce the number of no-shows, so we hope this situation will not arise too frequently.

We expect most people will have tickets before arriving. In case someone arrives without a ticket, we’re working on a guide if you would like to assist them with the purchase process. Stay tuned for details.

We are pleased to be returning to this customer-friendly policy. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Jessica Williams – je*********@co*****.net, or Steve Redfield – st**************@gm***.com.
