New Core Tour Training for Docents: Magnificent Architecture of the Magnificent Mile

We are excited to offer training for a new core tour north of the river. Entitled Magnificent Architecture of the Magnificent Mile, it will be a 90 minute tour that will leave and return from the CAC using GTS. The tour will cover the transformation of North Michigan Avenue over the last century while presenting many prominent buildings and many styles of architecture.

The first day of training will be Saturday, March 2nd in the Lecture Hall from 9:30 to 3:30 and will include a demonstration tour. A mandatory second day will be offered Friday, March 8th from 2 to 5 pm or Saturday, March 23rd from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm both in the Sullivan Room. Please choose which day would be better for you.

The manual is now on The Bridge if you would like to see the route and review the buildings. We think you will enjoy giving this tour and hope you will join us!

The Tour Directors for this tour are David Gottlieb, Kathy Kulick, and Tom Stelmack.

Please respond to Kathy Kulick at kc******@me.com to express interest in taking the tour training. Please do not express interest unless you can attend the required training and are committed to certifying.

If you aren’t interested in this tour or can’t make the training, keep watching the Bridge. Another announcement is coming soon with opportunities to train for neighborhood tours.
