Farewell Casey Crail!

The CAC is saying a very bittersweet farewell to Casey Crail. He has taken a new opportunity at the Kaplan Institute where he will be managing Illinois Tech’s Interprofessional Projects Program.

Casey has been with the CAC for 10 years and has done a great job professionalizing our operations over the years and has been a key member of the Operations team. Personally, he is the reason I know how to use Microsoft Excel (still learning!).

Casey was the ultimate “man behind the scenes.” There is no way to include everything that Casey has done for the CAC but if you ever worked with him on a project, you know he went above and beyond to ensure guest and docent satisfaction. Every year, he built the entire tour schedule including all the neighborhood and building tours. During the height of the pandemic, Casey helped produced countless CAC Live programs and held many, many practice sessions for docents learning the new zoom environment.

He has also worked on so many other cross-functional projects throughout the years with both staff and docents that moved the CAC forward to be a better organization. Casey will be missed at the CAC, but please join me in wishing him well with this new opportunity! Cheers Casey!

Casey…thank you. Your approach to helping others succeed is an icon. It’s really hard to think about your not being at CAC. Of course, I wish you the very best, and I expect to see your name around town…and maybe back to CAC one day. Have you thought about becoming a Docent…it’s a volunteer role, no pay but sometimes you get to know a staff person who really makes an impression. Hugs to you.
