June has arrived and with it, more summer-like temperatures and the anticipation of lots of visitors to our beloved city taking lots of tours and cruises.
To celebrate the official arrival of summer, join the Enrichment Committee, fellow docents and volunteers for an evening of great music (including Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony), new and old friends, and a game of Frank Gehry trivia for prizes. The event is Wednesday, June 22 from 6:00-8:30 at the Pritzker Pavilion. The trivia game will occur from 6 to 6:30 and during intermission.
Committee members will arrive early and put down tarps in case the turf is damp. Bring blankets or lawn chairs, your favorite beverage and a dish to share. During the concert we will do as everyone else does – enjoy the music and each other’s company. If you can’t find us when you arrive at the park, just text Gloria at 708–275–7993 and she’ll send you a photo of our location.
If this proves a success, we’ll do it again before the end of the season. If it is raining, or the forecast is for rain during concert, our rain date will be Wednesday, June 29.
