DPRP Update

As you might have noticed, the peer reviews conducted by the Docent Peer Review Program have been on hiatus for the past year. Now that we have settled into our new home and have our new tours up and running, we will restart the program in May 2019. Docents are eligible for review after serving for three years, and every three years thereafter. We have 15-20 trained reviewers who do these reviews and we never quite catch up to everyone who is eligible. As we restart the program this year, we are counting all the 2018 full certifications as a review. If you were certified in one or more of the new tours last year, you will be eligible for a DPRP review in 2022.

We have also updated the review form and will now be using the same form for all certifications and reviews. It is posted on the bridge in the DPRP folder (Files & Documents/Docent/Policies, Procedures, Forms, and Reports/DPRP). CLICK HERE to view. It is largely similar to the forms we have used in the past with two exceptions. First, we have incorporated the best practices from Project Fresh and the Engage Your Audience training into the form. Second, we have simplified the review form and added an extra sheet that clarifies what practices are expected to pass the categories on the form. This form will now be used for all certifications and reviews. We urge all docents to read the new form to make your tours the best they can be.
