The Docent Handbook along with the Articles of Operation are references that describe in detail the guiding principles, governance, policies and protocols, standards, docent categories and benefits of our unique, self-governing docent organization. Both documents have recently been updated and approved. Please have a look and familiarize yourself with both documents.
Key updates include:
- Updated tour requirements by docent category based on the number of tours given per calendar year.
- Updated service hours needed to achieve higher docent benefit levels.
- Creation of a new annual Docent Annual Meeting in the first quarter of each year, making All Docent Day a meeting focused on education.
- Annual Docent Council elections are electronic, will be completed by end of November and no longer tied to All Docent Day.
Many thanks to Jill Carlson, Donna Gabanski, Mark Purdome, Ron Roman and John Schneider for their efforts in updating this material!
Please contact John Schneider, jo**************@ma*.com, Docent Council Secretary, if you have future updates you would like to include in the Docent Handbook.
