While the full scope of a DC rep is included in the Articles of Operation available on The Bridge, here is a summary for docents interested in nomination:
- Currently the DC meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 6-7:30 PM. Normally, the meetings are at CAC, but during the pandemic the meetings are held on Zoom. All members are expected to attend these meetings.
- Regular members of DC are expected to join one or more committees, with one monthly meeting. The choice is theirs to make, with the idea that they will help the committee and provide feedback to the Council. If a newly elected docent rep already serves on a committee, he/she may remain on that committee.
- The time commitment for a DC member who is serving on DC and one committee should average 6-8 hours a month.
- Docent-at Large representatives would add an additional quarterly meeting of the Board of Trustees and an unknown, but usually small, number of Board committee meetings.
