CAC Update 4.14.2023

What’s Happening at the CAC:

On-Site Construction and Installations will be taking place this weekend in the orientation space and the skyscraper gallery. Starting Thursday, 4/13,  and probably through most of Saturday, our graphics team at Best Imaging will be tearing down the wall graphic next to the GTS Desk. They’ll be sanding, patching and painting that area back up and re-installing the same graphic. They will be using an electric sander in that area so it will be loud and a little dusty. On Sunday, 4/16, the architecture firm Perkins & Will will be dropping off a model in the skyscraper gallery. It might be loud, but they should be done by noon. This area will still be blocked off until the 25th as we install Reframed.

Upcoming Event:

There are a couple events coming up this month to celebrate National Parks Week at the CAC! For those who don’t know, National Parks week is April 22 – 30, so we will be hosting 2 events centered around Pullman, our newest national park in Illinois.  On April 20 and 27, from 10 am – 12 pm, a park ranger will be stationed in the orientation area talking about Pullman and national parks in general. A model of Pullman will be placed in the orientation space, as well! Just wanted you to be aware of our guests located in the center! If you around on those days, feel free to ask them questions and learn more about our national parks. The CAC will also be hosting a program about Pullman and National Parks on April 22nd at 11am!
