This fall, CAC is hosting its first-ever architects-in-residency program. From late September to mid-Novembers, a Paris-based design firm called ChartierDalix has been working with CAC staff to conduct a research program focused on new ideas for revitalizing Chicago’s Loop. Next Tuesday, October 17 (6pm-7:30pm), we will be hosting a public program in the Gand Lecture Hall. The program is sort of a midpoint review, as the lead architect, Frédéric Chartier, will present the team’s Chicago research to date and then receive feedback from a cross-disciplinary panel of experts from the Chicago design community. The speculative projects focus on new ideas for repositioning aging mid-century towers, as well as opportunities for creating more greenspace downtown. The program is FREE. Register on the CAC website.
