Your CAC Library Experience Just Got Better!

by Kathy Krepps, Class of 2017
Another step forward for all CAC volunteers seeking factual, engaging and relevant architectural and historical information about our beloved city. Your Barry Sears Library is now  fully automated.
For the past year you have been to able  access and search the Barry Sears Library digital and print catalog from your phone or computer by using either Quick Links on The Bridge or by going to CACLibrary.org.  Login: 01966.Password: docent.
Today, there are two additional features.  First, thanks to Mark Purdome’s wizardry and diligence, your search results will now tell you whether a print resource is actually on shelf or checked out to one of your volunteer colleagues.  Second, again thanks to Mark, with additional support from CAC staffers Joel Holt and Ivan Goana, when you visit the Library YOU can check the book/s out at the new self check out kiosk located on the glass wall.  Signage illustrating the quick, easy check out sequence, along with directions on how to search the catalog, are located in the library next to the check out kiosk and on the table. A basket for Book Returns is located near the kiosk. Library committee members are happy (make that love) to reshelve our books.
Coming soon – better shelf signage to help you locate a book more easily.
Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how to make our library space and resources better.
Thanks for your support and library love,
