Transitions and Milestones – December 2016

By Diane Wagner, 2005graceland-docents

Party, party, party!! Graceland Cemetery docents held their annual get together at the home of Karen Dimond. While the popular view is that nothing much happens in a cemetery, there was much to discuss. The group approved the addition of another tour date for 2017 and added the gravesite of Ernie Banks. Graceland has been certified as an arboretum by the Morton Arboretum, and many of trees have been tagged as worthy of a special look.

Of the 22 docents who give tours of Graceland, nine own property, and more are contemplating doing the same. Not many CAF docents can say they will be buried on their tour route!!
