Join us on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10 am for a special guided tour of The Paul Schweikher House Preservation Trust in Schaumberg for CAC docents and volunteers.
The Schweikher House, built in 1938, is a blending of eastern and western cultural sensibilities, and bridges the Prairie School and Mid-Century-Modern styles of architecture. It’s a home that anticipates the future design of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Usonian homes as well as passive solar design as it incorporates many of the concepts that would get codified years later.
Following the tour, we’ll head to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria at 1 S Roselle Rd in Schaumburg for lunch.
Be sure to RSVP to let us know if you can join us. You can prepay the $20 admission fee here. Also, in the RSVP form, be sure to let us know if you plan to join us for lunch and if you need or are interested in carpooling. CLICK HERE to RSVP.
If you are interested in carpooling or are available to drive others, please contact Lisa Ciota (li********@gm***.com) or John Perrecone (jp********@gm***.com).
