It has brought such a mix of emotions to learn of Lynn Osmond’s departure from CAC. I am excited for Lynn to take on the new and challenging role of leading Choose Chicago, but I am sorry for us to lose her valuable expertise and institutional knowledge. But, to be honest, it was a rarity to have a CEO for 25 years! Most organizations regularly transition to new leadership as we will be doing now.
As Lynn’s letter below mentions, I have been asked to be on the search committee for the new CEO. I have willingly accepted this honor to make sure that the transition is smooth and that the new CEO understands the special relationship the docents and volunteers have with the greater CAC.
Please make sure, between now and the end of April, to let Lynn know how much she has meant to you. And please look forward to a great 2022 tour season under new leadership.
