Brazilian travel blog Carpe Mundi says about CAC docents, “Sabem tudo de explicar arquitetura pra quem não entende nada de arquitetura.” (“They know everything about explaining architecture to those who don’t understand anything about architecture.”)
French blog Apprendre à Faire has developed a habit for reposting our videos, including Architecture Essentials: LEGO Inspiration and our beautiful timelapse from the Drake Family Skyscraper Gallery. Cela ne me dérange pas car les vidéos ne sont pas des copies et aident à augmenter leur nombre de vues à l’étranger. Shout out to Julio Saravia and the facilities team for their work on the latter video.
PS:
Arts Alliance Illinois has shared in full the recording of yesterday’s webinar, “Arts and Culture as Part of the Solution: Intro to Systemic Racism,” with Enrich Chicago director Nina D. Sánchez and CROAR co–program coordinator Derrick C. Dawson. Originally from Chicago’s South Side, Dawson studied architecture at the University of Colorado, was a broadcast journalist for the US Navy, and returned to Chicago following work and studies in South Africa and in south, central, and eastern Asia.
John Ronan Architects revealed its design for the future headquarters of the Chicago Park District and Landmarks Illinois announced “Women Who Built Illinois,” a database of places designed, engineered and built by women across the state.
