CAC offers extensive, high quality educational programming for children and adults. Here are the folks that make this happen!
Jenni Mushynski: Director of Education
As the Director of Education, Jenni ensures high quality and cohesive curriculum across our K-12 and teacher programs. Other responsibilities include cross-department operations like grant management and sustaining strategic partnerships with outside organizations, museums, and architecture firms. Her top priority is to ensure CAC’s educational offerings continue to provide equitable access to architecture and design opportunities.
Adam Rubin: Director of Interpretation
Adam works with the education and program teams that guide and interpret all CAC content, from tours and field trips to gallery exhibits and publications. You’ll find him training volunteers, scrutinizing the CAC exhibits for historical accuracy, and making everything we do approachable and engaging for all audiences.
Rebecca Boland: Manager of School + Family Programs
Rebecca works closely with our K-8 students and teachers. She writes the curriculum for our monthly programs and festivals. Rebecca particularly loves finding new a creative ways to help little ones understand the built environment!
Angela Esposito: Senior Manager of Education and Experience
Angela leads the Education Department team that facilitates CAC’s educational opportunities. This includes the training and coaching of Education Guides and Exhibit Hosts to ensure the best guest/student experience at the CAC. She also is a champion of an all-girl architecture fellowship though the successful Girls Build! program.
Edgar ‘Edge’ Quintanilla: Digital Manger – DiscoverDesign.org
Edge designs learning experiences using digital technologies and ensures that our online design education platform and competitions are running smoothly. He can also be found researching and implementing other digital tools and program models to use in our youth education programs.
Jenn Yoo: Education Operations Coordinator
Jenn manages all the department operations that ensure that our program delivery is efficient and effective. This position collects, updates, and reports department data for our early childhood through adult programs. She also coordinates the department calendar as well as internal and external communications.
Ayrika Craig: Community Outreach Coordinator
Ayrika is responsible for outreach and engagement strategies with schools and community organizations to cultivate support for, and participation in, a dynamic portfolio of design, architecture, and youth education programming.
David Cordaro: Teen Programs Instructor
David started his journey at the CAC as an Education Guide and now works part-time as a Teen Programs Instructor in our Teen Fellows program. He is here often on Saturday afternoons and evenings. In addition to his CAC responsibilities, David works full-time as an architect here in Chicago.
Omar Rodriguez: Teen Programs Instructor
Omar works with our K-12 program, teaching Architecture and Engineering basics. With a focus on high school students, he co-teaches the Teen Fellows program with David Cordaro. The program covers everything from sketching to reading architecture drawings and using design software. Omar teaches the After School Matters program, an after-school program for teens that teaches the design process and explores architecture. He facilitates the Teen Open Studios that assists high school students to work on and get advice on their Newhouse Competition projects. Omar also travels to recruit students to CAC’s Teen Programs Portfolio.

All provide support for the Education Team by assisting with CAC’s student workshops.
