George Bergstrom, Exhibit Host and Guest Services
George Bergstrom, the Chicago Gallery volunteer this morning, really enhanced our visit. We really enjoyed their whole experience. Customer service up front and in the shop were top-notch.

Learning while having fun: I went today on a beautiful day through chronological history of buildings near Wacker drive – Chicago Architecture – a Walk Through Time. Barbara Breakstone was our guide and it was terrific. We saw details I had never paid attention to. She let us asked questions throughout the tour. What fun. Thanks – Gabie847 Chicago

I wanted to thank the CAC for its exhibits and compliment the wonderful person, Jan, who conducted tour on Saturday, April 20, of historic sites (Chicago Architecture: a Walk Through Time). It was SO informative! She was truly very knowledgeable; spoke in very clear ways that we could understand and did a great job. I will recommend the tour to others. – Kathleen B., Seattle, WA
Charles Gurian, 2017
My docent, Charles, was engaging and entertaining. He explained the main components of the Art Deco style and how those elements were used in the particular building. That was interesting, but the best part was the history and stories. It was really fun to get a glimpse into the lives of the people who built and originally occupied the buildings. I highly recommend it if you like history and architecture. – Alamo332 West Chester, Ohio

Our family started our vacation of Chicago with your 10:00 am River Cruise tour to get an overall look at our whereabouts and loved it. Our tour guide gave us a good introduction to your beautiful city, and helped us to notice and appreciate the interesting buildings we rode or walked by, as well as the people. Certainly we will remember the feeling of BOLDNESS, and instead of just one tall building after another melding together, we learned to notice the differences and appreciate the variety of styles and shapes and recognized many of them. Thank you for the tour and the welcome it offered to the Windy City—which now when I say, because of her explanation, puts a smile on my face!
Harry Hirsch, 1998
Harry was WONDERFUL and gave a WONDERFUL River Cruise tour and never faltered and I was so impressed by his attention to detail.
Mary Jo Hoag 2007
Our River Cruise tour guide, Mary Jo, was amazing and super knowledgeable. You see many major architectural highlights but learn how they are woven into the history of the city as well. Time flies fast. I have such a deeper appreciation for the city that I’m already super impressed by. – Aimee A., Torrance, CA
Susan Pappas 2005
Our River Cruise guide was very polite, knowledgeable and inserted interesting anecdotes throughout her talk. Architectural buffs will definitely love the tour as the guide will give information on when each building was constructed, in which style and by which architectural firm. He or she will also share why certain buildings were built in a certain way. Overall, it was an interesting experience and to be recommended. – eat1226, Manila, Philippines
