Thanks to all the Exhibit Hosts who attended one of the recap sessions! We always want to keep you up to speed so starting today expect to see an Exhibit Update in the Weekly Update every week. If you have any feedback or questions, email Caroline.
New Model in Drake!
Upon its completion, 111 West 57th Street will become the slenderest skyscraper in the world. The ultra-luxury residential tower, composed of full floor and duplex apartments soaring over Central Park South, is designed with a height-to-width ratio of 23:1 – a remarkably small footprint for a supertall building. The tower abuts the landmarked 1925 Steinway Building, which has been absorbed into the new development, repurposed as an entry point for residents. Material finishes and forms, including terra cotta pilasters, bronze ornamentation, and a sequence of feathered setbacks, nod to Manhattan’s historic skyscrapers of the early twentieth century.
