Jill Lowe, class of 1997, has retired her docent status, leaving empty spots in the calendar for the Art Deco, River, and Evolution of the Skyscraper tours, among others. Fellow docents remember Jill as having an interesting, intense, and fun personality who was always clever and witty. Jill spent time with family in Europe and Australia as well as here in Chicago. Our community is diminished by her departure. Good luck, Jill, whatever your next adventure!
Docents and VEVs, please welcome Baby Edward John McMahon! EJ was born on the Monday of the Memorial Day weekend, May 28. An early riser, this little fellow checked in at 12:34 am, weighed in at 4lbs 3oz, and measured 16 inches.
In fact EJ was quite early, born at 32 weeks. He was in the NICU unit at for 6 weeks. His mother, Alina (class of 2012) reports that the early days were, “a scary emotional roller coaster ride, but thankfully he recovered well and now at home with us as of last week. EJ is eating like a champ too, just hit 6.5lbs yay.” Can’t wait to see him on the river!
