2016 Volunteer Benefits for VEV and Docents Available

2016 Volunteer Benefits at CAF are now available.
CAF volunteers receive benefits from CAF based on the hours they serve.  Docents receive hours from their tours, prep time and service hours. Prep hours are 1.5 hours per tour to recognize the preparation, early arrival and travel that accompany giving a tour and they are calculated at the end of the year.  Service hours are the actual hours you spend on behalf of CAF on committees and other activities, other than tours and they are self-reported. And tour hours, well they are actually tour hours – the amount of time spent on a tour.
VEV receive hours from the shifts they serve as well as the hours they accrue volunteering at CAF events.
At the end of each calendar year, tour, prep, and service hours’ and shift hours are calculated based on the data in VolunteerMatters.  Docents and VEV receive the following benefits.
  • Level 2: (21-30 tours or 71-100 prep, service and shift hours): $25.00 in Volunteer Benefits
  • Level 3: (30+ tours or 100+ prep, service and shift hours): $50.00 in Volunteer Benefits

Based on your 2016 hours, docents and VEV will receive their benefits funds in the form of a gift card that they may spend as they wish at the following retailers: Corner Bakery, Pret A Manger, Potbelly and the CAF shop.   In order to check on whether or not you have earned this benefit, please LOOK HERE.

Once you know your level please complete this FORM to select the retailer whose gift card you would like to receive  by March 31, 2017. If you do not want to receive any benefits, please indicate that on the form.  Cards will be distributed in mid-April.
