IS THERE A GOOD PLACE TO EAT AROUND HERE? Who can forget the Spinning Salad Bowl at the Blackhawk, the Pepper Beef at Fritzels, or the Turtle Soup at Henrici? What buildings now occupy the sites of these classic old Chicago restaurants and who are the architects?

WHO SAID THAT?
While the speeches during the last election reached new heights (or lows) for political oratory, Chicago politicos can hold their own when it comes to memorable political quotes. Who said the following and when?

Attributed to Mayor Anton Joseph Cermak. Chicago’s 1st foreign born mayor.
Allegedly said to President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt after being mortally wounded while standing next to him in Miami on February 15, 1933.
“Tony, Tony, where’s your pushcart at?”

“It’s a Lollapalooza! Chicago ain’t no sissy town.”
1st ward alderman, Michael “Hinky Dink” Kenna
Said it during the 1908 First Ward Ball.
“They have vilified me, they have crucified me, and they have even criticized me.”

A statement he once made in response to criticisms, eluding that he treated criticism on par with vilification and crucifixion.
