You can now register for All Docent Day 2024 on Saturday, November 2, at the Loyola University Student Union.
This year’s program, themed “Designing the Livable City”, will fill your stomach with breakfast and lunch; your mind with three exciting guest speakers plus a panel moderated by CEO Eleanor Gorski, and your heart by re-connecting with many of your docent friends.
Our speakers will focus on various aspects of Chicago’s ongoing renewal, including mega-developments, green space, and office-to-residential conversion. They are all superbly qualified: Gia Biagi is an expert in urbanism from Studio Gang; Rob Reuland is a Principal with Site Design Group, an award-winning landscape architecture and design firm; and Cindy Chan Roubik is Deputy Commissioner for Planning & Urban Development for the City of Chicago. After their remarks they’ll all come together for a lively panel discussion and Q&A moderated by Eleanor. Then it’s your turn to engage with fellow docents in a group activity.
The day will begin at 8:30 am with coffee and a light breakfast with the program ending at 1:30 pm after a buffet lunch. Please use the day to reconnect with fellow docents and our new 2024 docents.
We look forward to seeing you at All Docent Day 2024!
