Trivia – February 2017 – Who Said That?

By Hy Speck, Class of 1995

WHO SAID THAT? While the speeches during the last election reached new heights (or lows) for political oratory, Chicago politicos can hold their own when it comes to memorable political quotes. Who said the following and when?

  1.  “I’m glad it was me instead of you.”
  2. “Tony, Tony, where’s your pushcart at?”
  3. “It’s a Lollapalooza! Chicago ain’t no sissy town.”
  4. “They have vilified me, they have crucified me, and they have even criticized me.”
  5. “I don’t want nobody, nobody sent.”
