All About Us

On top of the world!  That’s what our recent visit to Willis Tower felt like.  In celebration of National Volunteer Week, the Willis Tower hosted roughly 60 CAC docents and volunteers on April 24, 2024 for a complimentary tour of the building’s many special features.  We visited the Catalog food court, the comfy building lobby and meeting spaces, outdoor terrace as well as the always spectacular Skydeck, including the Ledge.  We also explored the brand new, 12,000 square foot interactive museum highlighting so much of what makes Chicago great – our history, our people, our food, our streetscapes and landmarks, and of course, our architecture.   THANK YOU, EQ Office and Willis Tower Skydeck for hosting us!

Our tour of Willis Tower included a visit to the Outdoor Terrace, Skyline photo shoot and a step onto The Ledge!

If you missed this event, consider taking CAC’s Willis Tower Revitalized tour which is offered every Thursday at 9:30 am.

Please help spread the word that CAC has a Willis Tower Revitalized tour that leaves from the Franklin Street lobby of Willis Tower every Thursday at 9:30 am. The ticket price includes a one hour tour led by a CAC docent who provides the history, structure, architecture, and new art and outreach by the building which has led to its revitalization; and also includes a ticket to the Skydeck. Tickets must be purchased the day before from CAC.

Addendum: Docents and volunteers can take the building tour portion of the Willis Tower Revitalized Tour at no cost. The best option is to submit a comp request via the comp form and make a note in that request that it is for the building portion only. If you want to visit the Skydeck as well, then sign up on your own as for any other tour and get the tour at a discount, Hope to see you.
