A group of docents are developing a walking tour to complement the new “Loop as Lab” exhibit at the CAC, which will open in late April and run through the fall. The tour will provide a street-level view of several Chicago city plans including the 1909 Plan, the 1958 Development Plan for the Central Area of Chicago, the Chicago 21 Plan of 1973 and the Plan for the Heart of the City of 1983. This new tour will visit five sites in the north Loop so as to highlight the impact these plans have had. The tour will run once a weeking departing from and returning to the Center. If you are interested in giving this tour, please contact Tom Carmichael at ca***********@gm***.com.
