The new year is a time to reflect upon resolutions, self-improvement, values and goals. While in that frame of mind, consider your role at CAC and the organization’s core values: Collaborate, Continue Learning, Respect, and Integrity. It should be the goal of everyone at CAC to make the practice of the core values a habit, and by sharing these practices we can all learn by example.
At one time the old docent library had ‘thank you’ slips that were filled in and tacked onto the bulletin board. It felt good to acknowledge others, even better to be the one acknowledged and pleasing to see those we know get a little credit.
The idea is making a comeback – this time focusing on our core values. Everyone is encouraged to become involved: exhibit hosts, guest services, education guides, staff, leadership and docents. A form entitled “Core Values ShoutOuts” is available on The Bridge home page (righthand side along with the calendar, request for badges, comp tickets, etc).
When you witness or experience one of us practicing a core value, share it by completing the form and indicating which core value is represented. These ShoutOuts will be collected and posted on The Bridge once a month for all of us to read and appreciate.

Terrific to have a structure for positive comments. So my shoutout is to the committee members who created this!
Thanks Suzy! Encouraging words for our very first, historic ShoutOut!
