Architrek to New Orleans

Join fellow docents to travel to the Crescent City to explore the historical architecture and the city’s historic recovery since Hurricane Katrina.

The exact tour itinerary is still being finalized but we’ll be trying to fit all of this in:

  • Architecture tours through the New Orleans Architecture Foundation each day, including The French Quarter, the Garden District, Marigny, St. Louis Cemetery and current urban redevelopment projects
  • The Sculpture Garden in City Park
  • The Cabildo in Jackson Square
  • Tulane School of Architecture

We will be headquartering at the historic and newly refurbished Bienville House.

Both double/double rooms and king bed rooms are available, but your choice must be specified at registration.

Hot breakfast is included at the Bienville House on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Also included will be dinner on Thursday, lunch and dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday.


PRICING AND DETAILS

$890.00* pp/based on double occupancy

  • $225.00 deposit pp required after registration by cob 2/7/20
    • Deposit is not refundable unless your spot can be “sold” to another docent
  • $665.00 balance due prior to 2/28/20

 

$1,395.00 *pp for single occupancy

  • $350.00 deposit pp required after registration by cob 2/7/20
    • Deposit is not refundable unless your spot can be “sold” to another docent
  • $1,045.00 balance due prior to 2/28/20

*Does not include transportation to/from Chicago-New Orleans

Registration:

  • Registration will open via link included in The Bridge on Friday, January 31 at 2 pm CST and will be open as long as space is available.
  • Attendance is limited to 50 total, registration open to current docents and their + 1. Guests of docent must be registered by and paid for by docent, per registration guidelines.
  • A wait list will be kept if trip sells out for any future cancellations.
