The Great CAC Trivia Contest, November 2020 – Name that Tune

Contributor Hy Speck

By Hy Speck, Class of 1995

In 1970, a famous pop singer, composer, and recording artist created and recorded a song about a famous architect. Who is the singer, the architect and what is the name of the song?

“So long XXXXXXXX, I can’t believe your song is gone so soon.
I barely learned the tune. So soon, So soon.

I’ll remember XXXXXXX, all the nights we’d harmonize till dawn.
I never laughed so long. So long. So long.

Architects may come and architects may go
And never change their point of view.
When I run dry, I stop a while and think of you.
Architects may come and architects may go
and never change your point of view.

So long XXXXXX, all the nights we harmonized till dawn.
I never laughed so long. (repeat so long 7 times),
So long already Artie. So long. So long.”

Send your entry to Hy****@ao*.com    Good Luck! And, if you can sing the song, I will take you to lunch!
